The 1sts had climbed to second place after two rounds of matches in the Cambs Division 1. Only one side were ahead of them – Bedford outfit Towers. Could the boys claim a scalp and jump to the top of the table? The answer, ultimately, would be “no” – five tight strings, but all five ending in Towers’ favour.
